Queensland Maple ( flindersia breyleyana ). Originally used as a Mahogany "substitute", A rainforest hardwood from Northern Queensland, this wood is light, strong, and visually striking Queensland Maple has become a highly prized tonewood for luthiers. It is used in neck, back & sides, or internal components. Beautiful when finished naturally. This slab has light figure at the base. Has a few small (marked) checks at the base of the slab.
