Cocobolo (H) (Dalbergia retusa) aka. Granadillo. West coast of Central America. The heartwood varies from rich red to an attractive variegated appearance of yellow, orange and red streaks which mature to a mellow orange red upon exposure to light. The grain is irregular and variable. Very dense wood that takes a polish beautifully. Great for cutlery handles, jeweler and small decorative items. Specific gravity 1.1
